- Application period for this semester’s degree examination:
Master’s Program / Master’s In-Service Program: October 21, 2024 (Monday) – November 15, 2024 (Friday) by 5:00 PM.
Doctoral Program: From now until January 31, 2025 (Friday) by 5:00 PM.
- The latest oral examination date for this semester: January 31, 2025 (Friday).
- Latest Graduation Clearance Date for This Semester: February 21, 2025 (Friday) by 5:00 PM.
(Note: Completing the oral examination does not necessarily require graduation clearance in the same semester. However, if clearance is not completed and the maximum study period has not been reached, the student will still be considered enrolled and must continue to pay tuition and fees.)
- Application Process for Degree Examination for Students in This Department:
- Complete the mandatory Academic Ethics Course (≥6 hours) provided by the Taiwan Academic Ethics Education Resource Center.
- Go to the 臺灣學術倫理教育資源中心 (Taiwan Academic Ethics Education Resource Center) homepage: https://ethics.moe.edu.tw.
- Select your login identity: 必修學生 (Required Student) è 桃園市(Taoyuan City) à 中原大學(Chung Yuan Christian University).
※ Please ensure that you select the correct identity as specified above. Failure to do so will prevent the department’s system from verifying your completion, resulting in the rejection of your degree examination application. - Username: Your student ID; Password: The last 5 digits of your student ID.

- Degree Examination Application Form (Access via: iTouch à 教務處 (Academic Affairs Office) à 課註組 (Registration Section) à學位考試 (Degree Examination ) à 學位考試申請 (Degree Examination Application).
- Submission Location and Method:
- Please attach the documents with a paper clip and submit them to the department office assistant.
- For Master’s In-Service Program and Doctoral Program students who work full-time and are unable to submit during office hours, you may place the documents in the department office mailbox located at the entrance and notify the office assistant via message. If any issues are identified during the review process, the department will contact you directly.

- The 「申請人」(Applicant) field must be signed in person. Stamps or electronic signatures are not allowed.
- For the「指導教授」(Advisor) field, please arrange a time with your advisor for signing.
- All other required signature fields will be handled uniformly by the system.
- Since the review document cannot be provided in an editable format, if the fields are insufficient, please attach additional pages as needed.

- The 「指導教授」(Advisor) field must be signed in person; stamps or electronic signatures are not allowed. Please arrange a time with your advisor in advance and allow sufficient time for processing.
- The 「系主任」(Department Chair) field on the Degree Examination Application Form will be handled automatically by the system.

- Confirm the Qualifications of Degree Examination Committee Members
- Committee members’ personal information must include: Full name of their affiliated organization (ensure the complete official name, including the department/unit), Contact address (company, residence, or registered address is acceptable), Contact phone number, Email address, National ID number. Students must thoroughly gather and store this information in advance. If the system review identifies any missing information, the department office will notify you to provide the missing details.
- Committee member names, appointed titles, and contact details should be discussed with your advisor.
- If any of your committee members do not meet the following qualifications, you must inform the department office at least 2 weeks in advance (excluding holidays) to allow review of the committee member’s qualifications as an expert or doctoral degree holder:
- Currently serving or previously served as a full-time professor, associate professor, or assistant professor.
- Academician of Academia Sinica.
- Currently serving or previously served as a researcher, associate researcher, or assistant researcher at Academia Sinica (only Academia Sinica qualifies).
- Confirm the Advisor Fee Allocation Percentage
- For a single advisor, please enter 100% as the allocation.
- For two or more advisors, please coordinate with all advisors and fill in the agreed-upon allocation percentages.

- What should I do if the thesis title on the Degree Examination Committee List is different from the one on my original application form?
- [Solution 1]: If the Degree Examination Committee List has not yet been submitted to the department office:
Go to “Degree Examination Committee Maintenance”, update the committee information, and then redownload and reprint the committee list. - [Solution 2]: If the Degree Examination Committee List has already been submitted to the department office:
No problem. The submission of the committee list is already complete. Just make sure to update the title when printing the final approval form.
- What should I do if the thesis title on the Approval Form is different from the one on my Degree Examination Committee List?
No problem—the Degree Examination Committee List has already been submitted, and this discrepancy won’t affect the process. However, the Approval Form is extremely important, and its title must match the final title of your printed thesis exactly. Before printing the Approval Form, please double-check that the title is correct.
- What should I do if the title on the application form is incorrect?

Explain that you wish to cancel your degree examination application and provide the reason. After correcting the relevant information, you can resubmit your application.

Go to “Degree Examination Committee Maintenance”, update the committee information, correct the thesis title, and click “Save”. Afterward, you can select “Download and Print Application Form”.
